VRITEL CL TABLET

This combination medicine is used for the effective management of high blood pressure, especially in patients who require better and sustained BP control. Telmisartan works by blocking angiotensin-II receptors, leading to relaxation and widening of blood vessels, thereby reducing vascular resistance. Cilnidipine is a dual calcium channel blocker (L-type and N-type) that relaxes blood vessels and also reduces sympathetic nerve activity, helping to control blood pressure without significantly increasing heart rate. Together, they provide smooth, long-lasting blood pressure control and reduce stress on the heart, brain, and kidneys.

Indications :

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Patients not adequately controlled on single-drug therapy

Hypertension with increased vascular resistance

Patients experiencing ankle edema with other calcium channel blockers

Prevention of cardiovascular complications such as stroke and heart attack

Dizziness or light-headedness

Headache

Flushing

Fatigue

Ankle or foot swelling (peripheral edema)

Palpitations

Low blood pressure (hypotension)

Nausea or abdominal discomfort

Seek medical advice if severe dizziness, swelling, or persistent palpitations occur.

Dosage :

One tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the physician

Can be taken with or without food

Take at the same time each day for best blood pressure control

Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew

Dosage may vary depending on patient response and clinical condition.

Precautions :

Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney impairment

Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advised

Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless clearly prescribed

Avoid sudden posture changes to prevent dizziness

Inform the doctor about other antihypertensive medicines being used

Alcohol may increase dizziness—limit intake
