How Telmisartan + Hydrochlorothiazide works Telmisartan + Hydrochlorothiazide is a combination of two medicines : Common side effects of Telmisartan + Hydrochlorothiazide : Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them. Dizziness, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Nausea, Upper respiratory tract infection, Back pain Indications : Hypertension (high blood pressure) Patients inadequately controlled on Telmisartan alone Hypertension with fluid retention Prevention of cardiovascular complications such as stroke and heart attack Long-term blood pressure management Less Common / Rare : Low blood pressure (hypotension) Electrolyte imbalance (low sodium, low potassium) Muscle cramps Increased blood sugar or uric acid levels Nausea or stomach upset Consult a doctor if severe dizziness, dehydration, or irregular heartbeat occurs.
