Progesterone 300 mg sustained-release (SR) tablets are primarily used to supplement or replace endogenous progesterone in women with hormonal imbalance or deficiency. They help regulate the menstrual cycle, support the luteal phase, and are widely prescribed in infertility treatments, especially during assisted reproductive techniques (ART) such as IVF. The medication also plays a key role in maintaining early pregnancy by stabilizing the endometrium and reducing the risk of threatened miscarriage. Additionally, it is used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) alongside estrogen to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in postmenopausal women.
