Cefpodoxime Proxetil 200 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefpodoxime from bacterial resistance, thereby enhancing its effectiveness. This combination is commonly prescribed for infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose and throat, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and other susceptible bacterial infections. It is effective only against bacterial infections and should not be used for viral illnesses such as the common cold or flu. The full prescribed course should be completed to prevent antibiotic resistance.
Indications :
- Acute bacterial sinusitis
- Tonsillitis and pharyngitis
- Acute otitis media (ear infection)
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Lower respiratory tract infections
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Dental infections (when caused by susceptible bacteria)
- Other susceptible bacterial infections as advised by a physician.

- Oral or vaginal fungal infection (rare)
- Allergic reactions (rare but serious)
Storage :
- Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
- Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the tablets in the original blister pack until use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date.
