
Uses: Cilostazol is a phosphodiesterase III (PDE-III) inhibitor that improves blood flow by dilating blood vessels and reducing platelet aggregation. It is primarily used to reduce the symptoms of intermittent claudication, a condition in which reduced blood flow to the legs causes pain, aching, or cramping during walking. It can help patients walk for longer distances before leg discomfort occurs.
Indications :
- Intermittent claudication associated with peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
- Leg pain, cramping, or discomfort during walking caused by inadequate arterial blood flow
- To improve walking distance and exercise tolerance in patients with intermittent claudication
Common Side Effects :
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Abnormal or loose stools
- Palpitations or increased awareness of heartbeat
- Dizziness
- Abdominal discomfort
- Nausea
- Tachycardia (increased heart rate)
Storage :
- Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F).
- Keep in a tightly closed, light-resistant container.
