S-Amlodipine 2.5 mg is a calcium-channel blocker (CCB) used mainly to lower blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels. It is also used to prevent angina (heart-related chest pain).
Indications :
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Prevention of angina (stable/vasospastic chest pain)
- Reduction of cardiovascular risk associated with uncontrolled hypertension, including risk of stroke and heart attack
Common Side Effects :
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Ankle/foot swelling (oedema)
- Flushing
- Palpitations
- Fatigue or weakness
- Nausea
- Abdominal discomfort
- Constipation or diarrhoea
- Sleepiness
Precautions :
Use under medical supervision, particularly in patients with liver disease, heart disease or low blood pressure.
Storage :
- Store in a cool, dry place, generally below 25–30°C depending on the specific product label.
- Keep away from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep the tablets in their original packaging until use.
